Valorant Agent Guide: How to play as Reyna
Valorant Agent Reyna is the 11th character that was released with the game launch. Reyna is considered to be one of the best dualists and lurkers currently in the game. However, we don’t believe this Agent will be used in many professional settings. Her abilities aren’t made to help teammates so the Agent can’t be used to assist certain strategies that are at the core of the pro scene. Instead, her abilities are mainly focused on solo gameplay, which is why we only recommend this Agent to highly skilled players that aren’t afraid to get into duels and carry the game.

To fully understand Reyna’s abilities, you need to know what Soul Orbs are. Although Soul Orbs look similar to normal Orbs, they won’t spawn at certain map points. The only way to get a Soul Orb is via kill. Every enemy killed by Reyna leaves behind a Soul Orb that lasts for roughly 3 seconds. The basic abilities of this Agent share 4 charges that can be used in similar situations. In other words, her basic abilities can only be used after Reyna kills an enemy.
Instantly consume a nearby soul orb, rapidly healing for a short duration. Health gained through this skill exceeding 100 will decay over time. If Empress is active, this skill will automatically cast and not consume the Soul Orb.
Devour is used for self-healing after a battle. One thing to keep in mind, when you use Devour there is going to be a visible line from the Orb to you. It may reveal your position and get you killed. Also, if you break the line of sight to the Orb, the healing will stop. Just make sure that you are safe before using Devour to ensure you don’t get killed. On the other side, if you are not safe and there are still multiple enemies nearby, it is smarter to use Dismiss.
Instantly consume a nearby Soul Orb, becoming instangible for a short duration. If Empress is active, also become invisible.
Using Dismiss will give you a special invisible shield that will make you invulnerable for a few seconds. This ability can be useful if you are fighting against multiple enemies or going for a bomb defuse. If you manage to secure one kill, use Dismiss and you will become invulnerable and easily get an extra frag or two. It can also be used to get out of dangerous situations, retreat, and reposition safely.
Equip an ethereal, destructible eye. Activate to cast the eye a short distance forward. The eye will nearsight all enemies who look at it.
Leer is the Signature Ability that enables you to throw an eye light projectile, which will near sight any enemy that looks at it for 3 seconds. This ability can also go through walls which makes it one of the best in-game flashes. Be careful though, as enemies can shoot the eye and destroy it to reduce its duration. However, it will still blind them if they attempt to shoot at it, as they have to look at it first to do so. With that in mind, always try to aim the eye so that enemies have to look at it.
Instantly enter a frenzy, increasing firing, equip and reload speed dramatically. Gain infinite charges of Soul Harvest abilities. Scoring a kill renews the duration.
Empress is the very powerful Ultimate Ability that gives Valorant Agent Reyna a massive advantage. It will activate a beast mode and increase firing, equip, and reload speed. This ability will also add some extra features to basic abilities. Devour will automatically cast as soon as an enemy is killed without using the Soul Orb. You can still use the Soul Orb and activate Dismiss at the same time, making for some interesting strategies.
Further, it is also important to know when to activate this ability. We wouldn’t recommend you to use it on safe or low equipment buy rounds. Use it in a full-buy round because you will need as much firepower as you can get. It is also good to activate it early in the round when there are at least three enemy players left. The best time to use it is, of course, in a 1 vs multiple enemies scenario.
